Colophon 2007 is an on-going project building an ever expanding database of magazines and a network of magazine-centric organizations and people from all over the world. The database includes factsheets, covers, interviews and information for creatives, journalists, publishers and advertisers.
The website colophon2007.com was launched in July 2005 and will gather entries over a period of 18 months before being launched at an international conference in collaboration with the Casino Luxembourg - Forum d'Art Contemporain from March 9 - 11th 2007 in Luxembourg where magazine makers, art directors, photographers, illustrators, journalists, brand managers, students and a larger public will come together.
The objective is for many of the most intriguing personalities in the worldwide magazine culture to interact with interested audiences and players from a multitude of fields and to exchange ideas, experiences, and view examples of some of the best and brightest offerings.
At the same time the Colophon 2007 book providing a snapshot of the world’s current magazine society and an essential “who’s who” guide will be published including a directory of +/- 1.000 magazines and a guide to international distribution. The book will be edited by Andrew Losowsky, designed by Jeremy Leslie and published by Mike Koedinger.
Colophon 2007 is not only an invaluable resource for everyone involved in magazine creation and publishing but it is a meeting point where current practice meets future trends.
London based internationally renowed creative director and author Jeremy Leslie and Luxembourg based independent publisher and producer of the event Mike Koedinger are in charge of the curatorship of the event.
Luxembourg is gearing up for 2007 when Luxembourg and the Greater Region will be the “European Capital of Culture”.

INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINE IMPORT TO LUXEMBOURG AND BARCELONA
In order to promote international magazines to the Luxembourg audience, we do import magazines with our partner Hans Fellner from Fellner Art Books. We are speaking about little quantities (hey, Luxembourg’s population is less than 600.000 including 115.000 daily commuters, and it’s ONE bookstore) but it’s one more country on your distribution list.
Since october 2005, we’ve also a partner in Barcelona: Mercado is a cultural cooperative of worldwide creative. Contact our partner Victor Zabrockis for magazine distribution in Barcelona.

Colophon 2007 is produced by Luxembourg based independent publisher Mike Koedinger in collaboration with Casino Luxembourg - forum d’art contemporain within the framework of "Luxembourg and Greater Region: European Capital of Culture 2007"
